Air Duct Cleaning – Why It’s Important For Las Vegas Homes & Businesses

In Las Vegas, NV, lots and lots of homeowners and real estate investors are renovating their houses in today’s market. There are thousands of people moving to the city every year, and as it gets bigger, homes get more expensive; and in turn, prices increase for home improvement services and materials.

In desert areas like Las Vegas or other cities in Southern NV, Utah, Arizona, etc., air quality goes way down. This is because of all the sand and dust in the air that blows around in the strong winds these geographical locations tend to have. With that in mind, people are breathing in dust, sand and debris on a daily basis! Nasty right? Sounds like it would be irritable to breathe in dirty air like that. But the fact is that people get used to it and don’t even realize what’s happening to their health because of it.

Well, that’s where this article comes in handy. To all of our investor and home renovators readers, we have news for you: This problem is being publicized in local newspapers, magazines, and health articles more and more ever since COVID happened. That means to stay ahead of the curve and keep your families, customers, and tenants happy; you need a solution. We’re here to share with you what you can do in 2022-2023 as this in-demand service gets hotter and hotter.

In Las Vegas air duct cleaning is a necessary service where certified professionals enter a house or commercial building with a very large vacuum and cleaning equipment; and they clean out all the dust and debris lurking in the air ducts. You’d be surprised how much dirt gets in these ducts, we even have some photos to show you below to give you an idea. For those that have never heard of an air duct, these are big square tunnels made of sheet metal that push air throughout a building or house. They pass through the AC and heating units, and there are filters connected in between as well as vents you can see in your walls and ceilings in most homes in Las Vegas and throughout the United States.

Air Quality Awareness Since COVID-19

These maintenance services do very well in regards to having a sustainable home to live in. Whether it’s for yourself or for your tenants, people actually have health benefits and it increases the property value of your home. Especially when the person about to live in it knows that you maintain the home with clean air systems. Ever since COVID-19, people have been more and more looking to increase the quality of the air in their homes.

With air purification devices in high demand and out of stock in lots of department stores in Las Vegas, NV, this leaves most homeowners and tenants valuing services such as air duct cleaning. When the air ducts throughout a home are cleaned out, people living there feel safer from unwanted pathogens. Polluted air is never something that’s wanted by anyone at anytime. For families, parents don’t want to know that their own kids are breathing in harmful bacteria and pollutants.

The air quality awareness has picked up drastically ever since the COVID-19 pandemic happened. Here’s a Google Trend graph for the past 5 years showing the increases in people searching for the term “indoor air quality” from 2017-2022:

"Indoor air quality" search term data from Google Trends; graph showing search increases over time within the past 5 years (2017-2022).

“Indoor air quality” search term data from Google Trends; graph showing search increases over time within the past 5 years (2017-2022).

That Graph tells us a lot about the market for indoor air quality control services, such as air duct cleaning. In fact – in Nevada, air duct cleaning services have gotten in such high demand in the recent years. Local companies offering the service have been doing very well in this market. They’ve been filling in the need that the pandemic has created more of.

Why Should We Clean The Air Ducts In Our Own Homes?

That being said, it’s a great investment to hire these services out or to buy equipment to do it yourself; that is – if you own multiple units, multi-family homes, or multiple investment properties in general. Having a person or company handy to routinely maintain your home or properties is an ideal thing to do, and the market calls for it. The investment into a local air cleaning service just makes sense as you’ll have a happier tenant. If there wasn’t much more value that we see in our own home and wonderful feedback from our tenants – we wouldn’t even bring it up on our blog or to our RE investor friends.

To finish up our air duct cleaning topic today, we’ll talk about some of the health benefits. Cleaner air means that people exposed to the air will not have as much allergies and other toxins breathed into their lungs. When dust and dirt is inhaled, inflammation happens. Most people don’t think about that, but the dust creates a buildup of inflammation in our bodies. It also increases allergic reactions such as sneezing, rashes, eye irritation, nose itchiness, and more. Even if you’re not investing in air duct cleaning for Las Vegas tenants or hotel guests; we believe it is worth getting your air ducts cleaned out even for your own home for the health of your loved ones.

Pest Control Will Be Used by 100% of Las Vegas, NV. (Prediction)

The Pest Control Industry in Las Vegas Seems Promising

We predict that 100% of all Las Vegas residents and commercial property owners will be paying a pest control company of some sort for their services. This prediction comes from being active in business in Sin City for over 20 years. We have a lot of customers that are members of routine services for pest control Las Vegas. This was never the case before; people were always iffy on paying someone else to rid their homes of unwanted bugs and pests. Everybody was a do-it-yourselfer back in the day, but those days are numbered.

spiders on the wall need pest control spray for arachnidsWe see more millennials hiring us for solar screens now than the average Vegas resident. This is because they typically don’t want to be spending their own precious time installing things themselves. There hasn’t been a time that we had more customers wanting to “pay an expert” to do things more so than now. Times have changed, and people are now becoming more and more likely to hire specialists. This is great news for our readers that come by and regularly chime in on our content. If you didn’t know you can message us via email where we answer questions. Most of our readers are owners of local trades companies in Las Vegas.

Because this is true for us, we’re starting to get ideas of our own brand for local pest control. This would be great if times weren’t so good for us now. The economy is doing better than ever today. More people have money to spend on enhancing their quality of life, at least in Vegas! More customers for us is always a good thing, but having customers that stay with us and refer their friends and family; that’s a different story. But that’s all changing soon and we’ll watch it unfold in the coming years in Vegas.

Check out this insane video with a dog helping out with pest control (goes to show what happens when you do it yourself!):

“I can Just Spray My House Myself” – says no one in 2020

Ok, sure there are a few people that may be this way still. But the days are numbered as people are making a lot more money now. There’s also a lot of information online about people spending time with their family; or on things they’re good at and hiring out the rest. This philosophy went viral on social media and has since been the deciding factor of all millennial homeowners.

My son, who’s in his early 20’s, pays $100 every 2 months to a local exterminator just so he never has to worry about bugs in his house. Good thing the state of Nevada has regulations enforced by a compliance team so he doesn’t get ripped off. When I was in my early 20’s, you better believe I wasn’t going to put up a Benjamin for just 2 months of no bugs! Especially since I can just go to the store, buy some bug spray, and soak the perimeter of my house in 15 minutes. Sure, it was good enough for probably a month and then bugs would slip in. And sure, I’m inhaling that disgusting scent of pest control spray as I do it, but hey at least my house is sprayed!

Pay An Actual Exterminator!

Even my wife thinks I should stick to solar screens and pay someone else to work on anything else that needs to be fixed. I can’t say I disagree with this way of doing things either. I mean, if everyone in Las Vegas thought that way about solar screens, I’d be out of business!

Bottom line, I make this prediction public so I have a documented time stamp on this for some buddies of mine that I placed a wager with. I see the numbers rising of people that make these types of decisions. In a city like Las Vegas it’s a very rare thing. I have faith that these millennials will never back down on this and won’t disappoint me. So keep paying for pest control and tell all your friends and family about this company our son referred us to; they do a fantastic job.

Hiring Plumbers for Renovations

Published by:

Renovations and Plumbing Work

A lot of people choose to do all renovating themselves. They have handyman backgrounds and pretty much know how to do a wide range of things for renovating a home. However, what’s more important isn’t what they know, it’s what they don’t know. A specialist knows all angles of their industry and how things get done right. They have processes down that handyman simply don’t. These processes usually include assessing situations and the currently standing pieces. In plumbing, this means assessing the new plans, seeing what is currently installed, and mapping out an exact blueprint to what they will do to get the job done.

This is where having specialists in your renovation projects come in play. They will get the job done sooner, as well as in the best way possible. When it comes to plumbing, you want to have a plumber do the work because it is a thorough process that requires good labor.

Plumbers Need Remodeling Work

The truth is, plumbers actually need remodeling work. They may not know that they do, but they all need to get into this space. Remodeling is where the money is, and that’s why you’re doing it to begin with. Plumbers need to make connections with people like you (people investing in renovating houses on the regular) so they can have regular business in this space. Plumbing contractors don’t necessarily enjoy going to peoples homes while they’re home and fixing things. It’s work, but it’s not the best work.

One step above that is commercial work, which is typically more hands off from the consumer end. When it comes to renovating, they’re part of a big project. And if you get a plumber to establish a relationship with you, you can trust them to be a part of every project you have. They will also give you a good deal for their labor in exchange for your loyalty and regular work provided to them. Plumbers in Las Vegas are great, and they do regular awesome work for us here in Southern Nevada.

New Piping Needs New Methods

With the new piping that’s coming out now, you need to know newer methods and tools that come along with them. Having access to professionals that regularly educate themselves about their industry and new standards will help you greatly. There’s no way you can keep up with the newest and greatest top of the line plumbing methods in this business. Leave it to the professionals. This is the biggest reason we don’t see businesses in our industry succeed, they try to do everything themselves to cut costs. Which is ultimately cutting corners, which is not good for business.

Getting the newest and best things the plumbing industry has to offer will help you build a great business that renovates homes in the best and most improved ways. Offering your remodeling services from this perspective will help you go ahead and sell more homes and close more deals. More people that want remodeling of their homes will want the newest and best options available.

Get yourself a plumber – and get the job done the best way possible, the fastest way possible and the newest way possible.

Selling Houses Fast After Improving & Renovating

Published by:

Selling A House In Record Time After Renovations

So you’ve just finished improving and renovating a home for someone to live in. Now all you gotta do is sell! A lot of people that come into contracts with houses like these think this is the easy part. Well, it’s not quite that way, in fact, it’s the hardest part of the entire process. That’s right, renovations and home improvement contracts are the easy part. The selling in a quick manner is the hard part. Quite the contrary to what a lot of people believe before they get into business in this niche.

Rehabbing a house is one thing that has to be done to increase the value of the property. It’s a whole other thing to sell that property to someone, let alone in a quick manner. Experts have said that realtors sell homes in an average of 6 months. That’s no where near what’s considered to be fast. Selling a house fast is probably within a week’s time.

If you can achieve selling a house his quickly, you’ll be good to go flipping rehabs like no other. People will be jealous of your ability to flip so fast they’ll be asking you what your secret is. In fact, you won’t have a secret. You’ll just have a straight forward way of buying, fixing and selling homes in whatever city you’d like in the United States. Getting people in the door to sell you their home to begin with is probably going to be the 2nd hardest part of the process. But what we’ll be going over here, is how to sell quickly – within 7 days.

Realtor or No Realtor?

Should you consider using a realtor? Well, not really if you’re trying to sell as soon as possible. Don’t get me wrong, realtors are great; a lot of them provide great services but they don’t really get the ability to do their process quickly. Although, you should still give them a chance when it comes to selling the house anyway. Just list with a realtor no mate what, if they don’t sell, they don’t get paid. If you sell it yourself before the real estate agent, you’ll be good to go without paying any fees.

Part of what has to happen is the starting of the selling process. With a realtor, they’ll have you sign a ton of paper work, which sounds like a lot of work; and it kind of is. But keep in mind that it’s worth it to get them to sell your home anyway. Based on what I said earlier, it’s just the truth that you’ll be better off trying with a realtor as well as selling yourself. Having them get in there and list your property on the MLS will get you in front of millions of potential buyers.

The problem comes only because most buyers aren’t desperate to purchase a property right away. Also, it may not be the case that you’re just gonna get someone that wants to buy YOUR property, and wants to do it immediately.

So yes, you’re going to want to use both realtors as well as someone that can buy or sell your property right away. The company we’ve used in the past and are great with buying properties within 7 days is Sin City Home Buyers. They don’t care about the size or condition of the properties they buy, they just buy anything! Experts in Las Vegas are hard to come by, but these guys well deserve the business of anyone who can go for selling within a week.

Here’s What You Should Do

You should go ahead and call Sin City Home Buyers right now if you’re in Las Vegas. If you’re outside of NV, you can search google for companies that can sell houses fast in your area. This is honestly your best bet. It’s just not practical for me to tell you that you should learn how to find buyers quickly. You need to build relationships with people that have the capital to invest into buying properties. Then you have to work in an area that is growing and that investor is fond of. Then you middle man the deals by finding properties that need fixing and bring them to the investor. You can get a cut for every deal you bring them.

This is what I’d recommend only if you have the time to research and learn all of what’s necessary to begin this kind of trade. You’d have to be willing to become a connector – one who networks and meets many people and connects them together for mutual benefit. You’ll be doing that a lot with investors as well as people that have properties that are torn up and need renovating. A lot of times you’ll find that you can actually just buy those properties from them. It will just be the investors money instead of your own, and that way you don’t risk anything.

Movers & Home Renovators

home renovating and moving for free article

Renovating a Home Before Hiring a Moving Company

This goes without saying, but renovating a home can be the most hassling thing to take on as a homeowner selling their home and moving away.

Hiring the right team to renovate your home is the toughest challenge. You need to be able to trust these people with your belongings, being that you didn’t move away yet. Even if you did it would still make sense to hire people you can trust. Having a team of professionals come in and design, remodel, and finish everything is ideal.

Now, what to renovate?

For starters, there’s always the kitchen that can use more modernization. We remodeled our company kitchen last year, and although it was strictly for the purpose of company culture, it still looks amazing and provides a new feel to the entire office. Kitchens can have new appliances installed, which can add around 5k to your property value. Some areas more, some areas less. Bottom line, making improvements on the kitchen is great before moving out to increase the value of the final sale.

pan racks, sun lights, solar powered appliances, tile flooring, new countertops, back splash walls etc, all come to mind when remodeling a kitchen. Depending on your budget, you can do all of these or a few of these; that’s totally up to you.

Then there’s the bathrooms – bathrooms are usually simple renovations. You can have new toilet, shower head, faucet handles etc, which all make for a new “shine” to bring to your home. When you paint the bathrooms, it actually adds more of an appeal to the entire home, more so than other more costly items. The color of the bathrooms bring a different feel to the home entirely so choose your paint wisely.

There’s also the flooring, cabinets and door that can all be changed. If you do all of the above, you’re looking at a brand new bathroom that would be unrecognizable – and keep in mind, bathrooms don’t have to cost much to remodel due to the small space.

Move For Free

That’s right. There are certain movers that will move everything you have for free to your new home. They’ll pack everything up in boxes, put the boxes in a truck; they’ll bring them to your new home where you can choose for them to unpack everything for you or simply unload the boxes.

Hiring the right moving company means getting the bushome renovating and moving for free articleinesses who care. If they offer to move you for free, they must care. Usually these types of movers do the job for free because they have other incentives to get you to pay for a different service or to give them referrals. We have a company we recommend that will move you for free in St George, UT. This company came highly recommended to us and we highly recommend them. If you’re not in St. George, there are definitely businesses near you that do something similar.

Moving is also a highly stressful thing to take on. We always suggest to our clients that hiring a moving company is an absolute MUST! Going through that stress yourself will only cloud everything else you’re doing as a home renovator with a business. If you don’t renovate homes regularly, then fine move yourself if your up to the task. But anyone that has a home remodeling business like ours knows and understands deeply that there’s a lot of truth in subbing out work to clear the mind.

Solar Powered Cars

Cars That Are Solar Powered?!

Solar Screens and More brings to you a new segment. Something you may have been interested in learning about for years now and technology is finally here: Solar powered automobiles! This has been a concept that has been in the works in the automotive industry for a very long time now and is finally ready for the market.

This new technology will change the automotive industry for good. It will allow for less car battery problems and for a better earth. Solar is a renewable energy source and can be used over and over again without negatively impacting the environment.

Real Solar Powered Cars

So first off, I want to clarify that not every aspect of solar powered cars is solar powered. Only the internal apparatus such as the inside lamps, blinkers, headlights, brake lights, and fans will be solar powered. Most of these assumptions that a car can entirely run off of the sun are preposterous. We’re just not there yet to totally revolutionize cars to be fully solar powered. We just recently got cars running off of strictly electricity; let alone converting sunlight into electricity and allowing for all the functions to run off of that source. For a car to run off of of sunlight alone, we’d have to figure out how to harness enough energy at any given time for sun rays. And this is where things get tricky.

For many years electric cars were forbidden to begin sold on the main markets in the US. We are now seeing this finally end and the market is truly free. It will be another 50 years or so until we make another switch to solar powered vehicles to replace all other forms of fuel.

Maintenance and Solar Auto Repair

With solar powered utilities coming out for newer 2019 model cars, opens a new door to automotive repair shops. There are only very few auto repair shops in the US that are sufficient in solar battery repairs and maintenance on vehicles. This being said, any car repair shop right now can learn and get certified to be able to make repairs on solar powered car utilities. Check out articles on new solar tech here.

A car rental company called Drive Rent A Car Automotive already has cars available for rent that are solar powered. They send their cars out only once every 6 months to a specialized mechanic that can make the necessary repairs and maintenance on them. That’s the main beauty of solar, maintenance is minimized and so are repairs. Also, the efficiency of the technology is absolutely astounding.

When Will it Take Over?

Solar powered vehicles will probably take over the market entirely in 50 years from now. But who’s to say that with the rate things are going right now, there won’t be a solution within the next 20 years, or maybe even 10 years.

Living in Lake Las Vegas

Living in Lake Las Vegas

Our special guest had many things to share about living in Lake Las Vegas which is located in Henderson, NV. Living at the lake is indeed a beautiful lifestyle for any family or anyone wanting to live by the water, and be very close to major city. The Las Vegas strip is only 20 minutes away which is the heart of the city. Some of you may be thinking to yourself, “well what’s the difference between living there and on the beach in California? I can drive 20 minutes and get to LA from living on the water.” Well I’d have to break it down like this my friends; living in Lake Las Vegas is INSANELY cheaper than living anywhere in California. The cost of living in Henderson Nevada is literally half what the amount is in California. If saving unnecessary dollars is in your mind, check out the lake.

The lifestyle is dangerously beautiful for any couple to live. What I mean by ‘dangerously beautiful’ is the fact that you can roam around your community, go outside the community, bike ride for miles, kayak for miles, and still have hundreds of other things to do and enjoy. The beauty comes from the lifestyle, not just the views of the lake. And don’t get me wrong, Lake Mead is gorgeous, but it’s nothing compared to the living experience you can get by having a house on the lake and being able to enjoy the local events, surrounding parks, communities, trails, etc. The surrounding communities like Tuscany Village Henderson are also amazingly beautiful, they just don’t have homes on the lake. But enjoying lifestyle is very easy in any of the surrounding communities at Lake Las Vegas.

Anyone thinking about living on the water anywhere should take a look at this place. Lake Las Vegas is growing and it needs investors right now. So if you’re thinking of investing in real estate on the Lake, call the Henderson realtors that are the experts in Lake Las Vegas homes. Trish Nash is one of the top 10 leading realtors in the U.S.. Giving her a call to discuss anything real estate related is guaranteed to leave you pounded with information that you couldn’t find elsewhere.

Real Estate Home Improvement Philosophy

Published by:

Increasing Property Value Through Improvements

We have a special guest to share some excellent information on the importance of having solar screens on homes. Really, more about home improvement in general and how it can bring up the value in any home. I bring to you Henderson realtors, which are the authority of real estate in the city very close to Las Vegas, NV. Henderson, NV is home to many people, and as the real estate market rises, squeezing the most you possibly can for each house you sell is imperative for maximum ROI (return on investment). When it comes to real estate, these guys are the pros, I’ve listened to them for advice before, and made a lot of money doing so. Let’s dive right into discussion.

The Entitled Home Buyers

Owning a home and making improvements is a no-brainer when it comes to the majority of the people that read our other blogs. But to kick this blog off hard, we’re gonna get into the nitty-gritty of real estate investing, specifically when it comes to improving the inside or outside of a property. We are in the age of people feeling entitled. Oh, does that seem off topic to you? Well, I don’t think so personally. This ties into your real estate money-making by giving you an insight that’s well over-looked by many. And that is: people feel entitled to having what is actually MORE than they deserve! Let me explain. People that look at properties to buy, feel like they need to get the most out of their money, this is obviously understandable. But for many, they want more than they can afford, for less money. This is something very important for you to understand. The concept here let’s us learn that we do indeed need to upgrade our homes to the fullest potential before selling or before going broke.

Let’s Tie in Why These People Should Be Your Targets

These entitled people, which is the majority of home buyers, talk themselves into believing they deserve what they don’t, and therefor can talk a bank into lending them money. – BINGO! You got that? This is the “aha moment” for many. Understanding that anyone can get a loan for any amount nowadays is imperative to your success as a real estate investor. People need to hear you talk the house you’re selling up so much, that they drool about it and then run off to the bank to secure the amount they need. In order to do that, Henderson realtors suggest doing many improvements that seem like a lot to a buyer, but cost little to the current owner. Solar screens cost hundreds of dollars but have the value of thousands. You can even install solar screens in your home yourself. There are many do it yourself guides out there that can show you how to get this done. Changing the carpet is another thing that’s very underrated in the real estate investing game. Changing the carpet can add 5k more to your home’s value at a minimum and more likely 10-15k if you have the right people install it. Doing other things like installing vents into bathrooms that don’t have them, are great ways to increase the value of a home.
