Movers & Home Renovators

Renovating a Home Before Hiring a Moving Company

This goes without saying, but renovating a home can be the most hassling thing to take on as a homeowner selling their home and moving away.

Hiring the right team to renovate your home is the toughest challenge. You need to be able to trust these people with your belongings, being that you didn’t move away yet. Even if you did it would still make sense to hire people you can trust. Having a team of professionals come in and design, remodel, and finish everything is ideal.

Now, what to renovate?

For starters, there’s always the kitchen that can use more modernization. We remodeled our company kitchen last year, and although it was strictly for the purpose of company culture, it still looks amazing and provides a new feel to the entire office. Kitchens can have new appliances installed, which can add around 5k to your property value. Some areas more, some areas less. Bottom line, making improvements on the kitchen is great before moving out to increase the value of the final sale.

pan racks, sun lights, solar powered appliances, tile flooring, new countertops, back splash walls etc, all come to mind when remodeling a kitchen. Depending on your budget, you can do all of these or a few of these; that’s totally up to you.

Then there’s the bathrooms – bathrooms are usually simple renovations. You can have new toilet, shower head, faucet handles etc, which all make for a new “shine” to bring to your home. When you paint the bathrooms, it actually adds more of an appeal to the entire home, more so than other more costly items. The color of the bathrooms bring a different feel to the home entirely so choose your paint wisely.

There’s also the flooring, cabinets and door that can all be changed. If you do all of the above, you’re looking at a brand new bathroom that would be unrecognizable – and keep in mind, bathrooms don’t have to cost much to remodel due to the small space.

Move For Free

That’s right. There are certain movers that will move everything you have for free to your new home. They’ll pack everything up in boxes, put the boxes in a truck; they’ll bring them to your new home where you can choose for them to unpack everything for you or simply unload the boxes.

Hiring the right moving company means getting the bushome renovating and moving for free articleinesses who care. If they offer to move you for free, they must care. Usually these types of movers do the job for free because they have other incentives to get you to pay for a different service or to give them referrals. We have a company we recommend that will move you for free in St George, UT. This company came highly recommended to us and we highly recommend them. If you’re not in St. George, there are definitely businesses near you that do something similar.

Moving is also a highly stressful thing to take on. We always suggest to our clients that hiring a moving company is an absolute MUST! Going through that stress yourself will only cloud everything else you’re doing as a home renovator with a business. If you don’t renovate homes regularly, then fine move yourself if your up to the task. But anyone that has a home remodeling business like ours knows and understands deeply that there’s a lot of truth in subbing out work to clear the mind.
